“Science 4 COVID-19” platform was launched by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB) in partnership with several entities, to compile and disseminate ideas, publications and actions in progress, identification available installed capacity and research groups, making available online collaborative working tools on these elements, as well as mechanisms for direct communication between users with the aim of promoting interaction and collaboration among all.
The platform brings together a wide range of initiatives from the Portuguese scientific community, ranging from actions of a social and solidarity nature, such as the identification and availability of material for personal protection to health professionals; to engineering, such as the adaptation, development and manufacture of various models of ventilators; to the clinical and biomedical area, such as new protocols for tracking the coronavirus; to communication, such as the production of informative and educational materials on Coronavirus to be disseminated in the Portuguese Speaking Countries in Africa.
