Centro Ciência LP, operating from Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical (IHMT), Universidade Nova de Lisboa, is the outcome of an agreement sealed between the Portuguese State and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO, following a proposal submitted to UNESCO by the Portuguese Government, that establishes the “International Centre for Advanced Training of Scientists from Portuguese Speaking Countries in Basic Sciences, as a category 2 centre, under the auspices of UNESCO”, in Lisbon Portugal.

Mobilizing scientific communities, boosting knowledge sharing

If you have ongoing or recent involvement in research projects with Portuguese Speaking African countries, or others in Africa or East Timor, and you would like to share the initiative, please send us at info@ciencialp.pt the summary, entities involved, dates of completion and one or two photos, in order to spread and promote collaborative scientific initiatives, with real impact on the communities and regions covered by the projects.
